Important : Inspection by Legal Metrological Department

Dear All,
This is to inform you that there is a possibility of inspection by Legal Metrological Department to all our stores within next few days. Yesterday they have visited our Malad Store and the findings are given below.
1. There are products with swing Tags and boxes where the Bar code stickers are affixed above the old stickers.
2. There are products with swing tags and boxes where barcode labels are affixed after removing old stickers .
Section 18 Subsection 5 of Legal Metrology rules 2011 states the followings:
5) No wholesale dealer or retail dealer or other person shall obliterate, smudge or alter the retail
sale price, indicated by the manufacturer or the packer or the importer, as the case may be, on
the package or on the label affixed thereto.
Hence please verify all the stocks which you are currently holding at retail outlet and if you found any stocks which does not comply to the above please keep it separate and we will bring it back to ware house to change the boxes.
