project
website and sent out as soon as possible.
The following project description has been provided by the development team:
The proposed development at 697 Cambridge Street has been designed to transform an existing two- story commercial structure into a five-story multifamily residential building while maintaining compatibility with its urban context. The program organizes residential,
parking, and support spaces to create a functional and efficient structure that responds to the character of the section of Cambridge Street on which the site sits. The building will contain 42 residential units organized across the lower level through the
fifth floor. The unit mix is designed to support a diversity of household types, including 17 studios, 15 one-bedroom units, 7 two-bedroom units, and 3 three-bedroom units. Many units will benefit from exclusive-use balconies, offering residents private outdoor
space. Interior layouts have been planned to maximize natural light, efficiency, and livability.
The public is encouraged to submit comments about the
proposed
project. The current comment period will be open through Friday, November 28, 2025 , and can be extended if necessary. After the conclusion of the comment period, staff of the Planning Department will review feedback and determine next steps.
