1954 Commonwealth Avenue

Public Meeting | Virtual Meeting

NEW DATE: Monday, September 22, 2025 | 06:00 PM - 08:00 PM

This meeting was originally scheduled for August 28.

The Boston Planning Department is hosting a virtual public meeting for the proposed 1954 Commonwealth Avenue project located in the Brighton neighborhood of Boston. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the Small Project Review Application (SPRA) that was filed and its potential impacts. The meeting will include a presentation followed by questions and comments from the public.

Glenshane Properties (“the Proponent”) proposes to develop a 26-unit multi-family residential development by relocating closer to Commonwealth Avenue and preserving the Site’s existing historic residence, relocating a reconstructed porte cochere, installing a new driveway, modifying the existing stone wall, re-landscaping, and constructing behind the house a new 6-story building with connected central lobby including one (1) level parking beneath the rear building.
