They overpriced it. $2,300 a month for 420 sq ft studio, and not on the Green Line.

Who are these tenants supposed to be, with incomes sufficient to afford that?!

Just read an article in the Crimson that the Continuum apartments at Traders Joes in Allston are now fully occupied.  2 bedrooms rentals are $4200 and studios are $2400 a month - and they are full.  People obviously have the money to live here.  I have met a few people there - they are either affiliated with Harvard or come from places where it’s more expensive like London,  NYC or Northern Europe.  
The 130 rentals in construction at the corner of Market St and Western ( old Black & Decker property) are studios and 1 bedrooms mostly.  The developer said they will rent “ just under market” at $2100 for a studio.  All new renters will get a free bike to encourage biking.  We shall see.  That’s Mt. Vernon Company who is proposing 37-43 N. Beacon as well as 44 N. Beacon.
