Dear Friends in the Community:

 

As some of you know, Jane and I founded the Boston Minstrels 20 years ago with the mission of lightening the load of people in homeless shelters.  We accomplish this by providing an upbeat, participatory, and healing musical program, over forty times a year at twenty three venues in Boston.

 

In the 20 years, we have cultivated one hundred volunteer singers and musicians.  We post thousands of volunteer hours and lift thousands of hearts every year.  We are community members helping community members.

 

As a nonprofit, we need your assistance.  Please accept this request in an e-format that is attached to this memo. The request outlines our invitation to contribute to our mission of assisting those who are homeless.  Our service is a one-of-a-kind expression that manifests a basic goodness in all of us.
