Hi,

There's a great editorial in today's Globe on the importance of rail and bus transit in the $500M Mass Pike Allston reconstruction project, specifically a north-south bus route that would connect North Allston with Harvard Square, BU, Comm Ave, and Longwood.

"decisions over the next few years will shape Allston for decades, and MassDOT needs to get this right. The agency is moving in the right direction in its Allston plans, but it won’t be done until the needed transit improvements are included in the plan — and funded."

The City of Boston has already endorsed such a new road which could also relieve the residents of North Harvard St, Cambridge St, Linden St, and Brighton Ave of some of the traffic that passes by their homes.

You can help support these improvements to local quality of life and regional transit in two ways:
1) Write to dot.feedba...@state.ma.us by December 22 (reference Project File No. 606475)
2) Write a letter to the editor (let...@globe.com, 200 words or less, include name, address, and daytime number)

Thanks
Harry
