About PRLab
Founded in 1978,
PRLab is the nation’s longest-operating student-run public relations agency. Through PRLab, BU students gain hands-on experience providing PR services to
nonprofits, businesses, and government entities.
Clients work with a dedicated student team—including a director, supervisor, and account executives—to achieve their PR goals. PRLab operates on a
10-week semester schedule:
Late September through early December
Early February through late April
ProBono
Each year, BU students participate in PRoBono, PRLab’s overnight hackathon-style communications marathon. Students create tangible deliverables for
deserving nonprofits.
