Dear Allston/Brighton Residents,
Community Volunteers Needed for Allston Planting Event!
The Urban Ecology Institute, an environmental non-profit based in Cambridge has been working with Mahoney’s Garden Center, Boston University and other neighborhood organizations to transform a neglected City owned parcel along the Everett Street Bridge on-ramp into a beautiful, green community asset! The site has been prepped but volunteers are still needed to plant and mulch this 5,500 sq/ft parcel.
Planting days will take place on:
Saturday September 29 – 12:00pm to 3:00pm
Sunday September 30 – 11:00am to 3:00pm
Planting Location:
Directly across from 95 Everett Street in Allston. (Adjacent to the Stop and Shop)
Remember, many hands make light work. Feel free to pass this along to any individuals or organizations that may be interested. If you are part of a group (youth, religious etc) that would be interested in participating please contact Kyle Greaves at (617-349-8856 or kgre...@urbaneco.org). Groups and individuals are encouraged to RSVP so we can provide enough tools.
We hope to see you there!
