Preliminary Municipal Election (Ballot Position)
Tuesday, September 9, 2025, 7:00 am – 8:00 pm
Vote by Mail: All ballots must reach the Election Department or a ballot box by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9. Ballots CANNOT be dropped off at polling locations on Election Day. 
Absentee Voting: (In Person) If you qualify, you have until Monday, September 8 at 12 p.m. to vote absentee in person in the Boston Election Department Office, City Hall 241. (Mail) All ballots must reach the Election Department or a ballot box by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9. Ballots CANNOT be dropped off at polling locations on Election Day. If a voter brings an absentee ballot to their polling location on Election Day, they will be provided with the opportunity to cast their vote in-person at that polling location. A poll worker will help them in ensuring that their mail-in ballot is spoiled before casting the in-person vote.

Tree Removal Hearing: Allston

Request for the removal of four (4) public shade trees located at 250 Everett St, Allston in order to demolish the existing building and construct a new 6-story multifamily rental building containing approximately 235 residential units. The following trees are being requested for removal. Two (2) Elm trees measuring 6 inches DBH (diameter at breast height) and two (2) Pagoda trees measuring 3 inches DBH.
