Our long time Board member and current Chair of our Board of Directors, Lisa Whittemore, MPH will be stepping down from the Board at the conclusion
of this year's term which ends next month at our Annual Meeting on May 8. Lisa recently retired from a long and successful career as a healthcare executive with a focus on public and community health, and brought a tremendous amount of experience and insight
to our Board. For the past three years, Lisa has served as the Chair of our Board, helping to guide the organization through the depths of the COVID pandemic and related workforce challenges, and helped us to develop a new forward thinking strategic plan,
while never losing sight of our mission and the need to provide care to our community. Our next Board Chair will be elected at our Annual Meeting on May 8.
Thank you so much, Lisa, for all you've done for Charles River Community Health! We wish you the best in your retirement!

BPHC Health Equity Symposium
|
|
Several members of CRCH's Senior Leadership Team attended Boston Public Health Commission’s Advancing Health Equity Symposium on April 26 at the
Boston Public Library. Public health officials & leaders from across the state met to discuss how we can drive policy & innovation to foster healthier, safer communities for all. The event featured many black and brown leaders powerfully speaking about need
for lived experience at the decision-making table with health care organizations and policy makers to begin to break down the structural racism in healthcare. Some of the featured speakers included Dr. Bisola Ojikutu, Executive Director, Boston Public Health
Commission, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, Kate Walsh, Massachusetts Secretary of Health and Human Services, President and CEO of the MassLeague of CHCs Michael Curry and Juan Fernando Lopera,
Chief Diversity Equity & Inclusion Officer at Beth Israel Lahey Health.
