3rd Annual Pride Celebration at Boston City Hall on

Wednesday June 10th.

Hi there Joan,

As we mark three years of this growing tradition, we gather to honor the unapologetic brilliance of our LGBTQIA+ community and the unyielding grit it takes to exist out loud. This celebration is a bridge—a moment to hold space for the ancestors who fought for LGBTQIA+ rights, and a commitment to the younger generation that we will not let those rights slide backward.

Throughout my first term and now in my second, I remain committed to taking action. My office and I has been actively involved with filing and persuing protections for transgender, gender-expansive, intersex, and all LGBTQIA2S+ individuals in Boston.

Alongside this daily work, we know the importance of celebration, recognition, and rallying together. Because in a time when many are under legislative attack, showing up in our full, defiant joy is the most powerful work we can do.

Last year’s celebration was cohosted with over 40 organizations and brought together over 300 community members!

Please see below for a full line up of events, feel free to join my office and I for any or all of the day's events that fit your schedule. All are welcome!

Help us spread the word!

To help us get the word out we've set up a Partiful for this year's Celebration, please feel free to share with your community! https://partiful.com/e/C2CtZVgrdPnBU0oK7zlj

In light of the ongoing legislative attacks targeting LGBTQIA2S+ rights nationwide, it feels more important than ever to uplift the voices and experiences of Boston's LGBTQIA2S+ community. We must stand together in unwavering support and celebration.

I look forward to seeing everyone at this year’s Pride Celebration!

Let's celebrate Pride together!

on June 10th

📢 10 - 11am 🏳️‍⚧️ Community Sharing & Crafting 🏳️‍🌈

We'll be gathering outside to share stories, uplift events or share resources and make signs. Join however you're comfortable — bring signs or a flag, or just bring yourself! We’ll be starting outside on the Plaza at 10am, and then moving into City Hall starting around 10:30am.

📍Boston City Hall Plaza (outside)

🥰 11am - 12pm Pride Community Reception

This will be an opportunity for community members to connect and share. Elected officials are welcome to attend and listen, but asked to fully yield the floor to the community.

⚖️ 12 - 12:45pm Boston City Council Formal Presentation

Councilor Santana will invite all community members to join the Boston City Council on the Chamber Floor for formal recognition of Pride and the community. This is an opportunity for us to be seen by our elected officials and our city, and will feature remarks from a small selection of our community members and City Councilors to acknowledge the contributions of all the organizations and individuals present, and our whole Boston 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

📍 Boston City Hall, 5th Floor, Iannella Chamber
