One of Allston Brighton's newest Non-Profits - "The Fishing Academy" is
sporting a fundraiser next weekend on September 22. Details are
below. The Academy teaches urban kids ages 8 to 18 how to fish.
Through the guidance of John Hoffman, the director, and his fantastic team, kids
learn many life lessons like working together, patience, hope, fun, and
respect. The fish like it too (they're all sent back home after a workout
with the kids)! The program gives kids a place to go during the summer
days, Plymouth, Gloucester, Boston Harbor, and the Cape. The day is a
great opportunity for Moms and Dads to introduce their children to the sport and
meet other families in the neighborhood. Please come out and support the
Academy!
