5 years later -- Globe Retrospective on POST Commission

I was pleased to see the Boston Globe recognize the progress that Massachusetts is making on police accountability and transparency. The Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission was my signature effort in 2020. The Globe editorial stated: If it wasn’t obvious before, it certainly is now. Massachusetts has entered a new era in policing. No longer is discipline at the whim of an officer’s department. Supporting the work of the POST Commission that we worked so hard to establish will remain a core priority for me.  It is fundamental to the protection of civil rights in Massachusetts.
