This seems like a bait and switch to reduce building parking by two-thirds.  Why are the developers doing this at such a late point in the process?

Everybody will continue to drive and they'll clog up the streets even further with more double parking and illegal parking.

The BPADA has this notion that if they take away parking spaces, people will stop driving and that simply doesn't happen.   I've lived in this neighborhood for almost 40 years and the traffic is out of control as well as the ride shares, which are never accounted for by developers and BPDA.

Every comment letter that I, my husband, Paula Alexander, Bob Alexander, and Geri Sullivan have written were never acknowledged, discussed by the BPDA, or resulted in even the slightest change in the developer's plans. The entire process is an exercise in futility and only serves to provide job security for BPDA staff who rubber stamp everything.

Instead I'd like see a smaller BPDA and the savings used to hire more ISD inspectors to investigate problem properties and go after the land lords.

Thank you, Mary Ellen; on our side of the pike in Allston, we experience a similar disregard:  Letters written, voices raised and, unfortunately, time largely wasted as projects go forward with little or no changes.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, Bob Pessek

Nick:

Thanks

Paul

I am in complete agreement. Very little or nothing at all is done about all these issues that people that actually live here complain about. I have been talking to friends trying to come up with a better solution. Mayor Wu talks a lot about housing and I think contacting her directly by lots of people could help.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
