Dear Jack,
Do you want to run the Boston
Marathon with an official number? Do you want to help kids and families
in need from your community. Then RUN FOR REACH OUT!!!
Reach Out is our annual fundraising
campaign. Our goal is to fundraise at least $75,000 by April 15th. All
funds raised are directed to kids, families and individuals who need help
paying for important programs at our branch. In 2007 1,000 people
received financial support to participate in programs at the Oak Square
YMCA. Click

how REACH OUT helped some special people. Recipients of REACH OUT
support use the funds so they can participate in much needed programs like
childcare, summer camp swim lessons, teen and adult memberships.
We are very lucky to have this opportunity and to offer it up to you so
we can make a difference!
The Boston
Athletic Association
has made an official number (waiving the qualifying requirements for the
112th Boston Marathon) available to the Greater Boston YMCA-Oak Square
branch to help us in our fundraising efforts this year. Make a difference
and run the Marathon legitimately with thousands of others who run for
a cause.

Process To Be Chosen to RUN FOR REACH OUT!

How to become eligible
Reply to this email
if you want to be put in a drawing for the number. We will allow
entries until Friday January 25, 2008 until noon. We will draw the
name of the individual who will receive the number and contact them directly
by Monday January 28, 2008. By responding to this email you agree
to the follwing requirements to be assigned the number if your name is
chosen.
1. BE
EXCITED TO HELP YOUR LOCAL YMCA MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF HUNDREDS
OF INDIVIDUALS YOUNG AND OLD
2. Reply
to this email and tell us that you want to RUN FOR REACH OUT!
3. In
your reply email, share with us a little about you and why you want to
support this cause and what affiliation, (member, participant, live in
community) if any, you have had with the Oak Square YMCA. (this will
not impact the drawing)
4. Agree
to raise at least $5,000 toward our 2008 Reach Out Campaign. You
can donate the entire amount or raise the entire balance or more from friends,
family, your company or whomever you choose. (all
donations are tax deductable to the full extent of the law)
5. If
collected donations from others do not total at least $5,000 prior to the
race, you will donate the difference so at least $5,000 is donated and
collected prior to running. You will supply a credit card number
to be put on file once you accept the award of the number to pay any remaining
balance.
6. You
must pay the $200 (non-refundable or transferable) race entry fee and register
as soon as possible to ensure your registration and your number before
the field limit of 25,000 is reached.
7. Accept
all BAA race eligibility requirements, registration timelines and agreements.
Take full responsibility for registration and the process once the
application is presented to you. |
