Brighton's "PFC Stanley Kaplan Memorial " Rededication Ceremony Scheduled

On Friday October 25, 2013 at 1:00 PM, on the outbound side of Commonwealth Ave at Washington St. Brighton, Boston Police D-14 Captain Wayne Lanchester, City Councilor Mark Ciommo and Grand Rabbi Y.A. Korff will rededicate the PFC Stanley Kaplan Memorial. PFC Stanley Kaplan was killed in action on October 10, 1944 in France during WWII and had lived at 124 Washington St. Brighton prior to his enlistment into the US Army's 26th Yankee Division. The Memorial site was recently renovated with a grant from the City of Boston's Edward Ingersoll Browne Fund. With the leadership of the BPD's District 14 Community Service Office, The Mayor's Office, City Councilor Mark Ciommo, The Allston-Brighton Historical Society, The Allston-Brighton CDC and Congregation Kadimah-Toras Moshe over the past two years the neglected and damaged memorial site was reconditioned in a respectful manner. The effort put forward by the Brighton Community reflects the spirit and commitment to those who have served and sacrificed for our country.

ALL MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY ARE WELCOMED ATTEND THIS REDEDICATION ON FRIDAY OCTOBER 25 @ 1PM.
