HARVARD UNIVERSITY CONSTRUCTION MITIGATION

WESTERN AVENUE PAVING NOTIFICATION

Beginning on Tuesday, June 5

th, the section of Western Avenue between approximately Travis and Hague Streets is scheduled to be paved. The paving work will be performed Monday through Friday between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm and on Saturdays between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. The work is expected to take approximately 3 weeks to complete. Once the paving has been completed, striping will be performed during the night to avoid impacts to vehicle traffic on the street. It should be noted that it is possible for the exact start date to be delayed due to inclement weather conditions.

Parking will need to be removed along the northern side of Western Avenue

within the paving area in order to accommodate the work. The street will remain open and access to the properties along Western Ave. will be maintained throughout the work. Barriers, signage, and police details will be utilized as necessary to direct pedestrian traffic and ensure public safety.
