NOTES:

• Thursday is the Feast of the Ascension, we will celebrate the Feast with Orthros, Divine Liturgy, and a potluck on WEDNESDAY EVENING beginning at 5:30pm. You may put your potluck food in the parish hall when you arrive. Please make sure you bring enough dinner for your family and another family;) This way we have enough to feed all, especially our visitors. This meal is not fasting. 

• Our AMen Men's group will serve at the Men's Shelter in Raleigh on Thursday evening and then gather for fellowship at the Durham Bulls Baseball Game on Friday evening. If you would like tickets, keep an eye on your inbox for info. 

• Our St. John the Merciful Group is working hard to make sure you have many opportunities to serve in the community. These are ongoing projects so make sure you check out the sign up genius and see when you can help out. Many hands make light work! Our St. John the Merciful Group will have an informational meeting this coming Sunday if you would like to find out how you can help out and serve! 

• Please note that our Sunday School classes will take a summer break until September. Thank you to all of you who teach and to all of our faithful parents who make sure their children are instructed in the church, you will be blessed!

• Sunday our SOYO Teen group will host a SUNDAE SUNDAY! Tickets are $5 (cash and VENMO accepted), Dairy free option available. This fundraiser helps support our teens throughout the year as they fellowship and serve. 

• Our Young Adult Group will meet at the Shiny Diner on Buck Jones Road for Brunch on Saturday at 10:00am and will follow with a hike at Umstead Park. Keep your eyes on your email for details. 

• Mark your calendar for next Sunday we will celebrate the Feast of Pentecost. At 5:30pm we will pray Vespers with Kneeling Prayers.
