Family Ed Night – June 20

Dear All Saints Family,

This is a reminder that our monthly Family Ed Night will take place tomorrow evening, Saturday, June 20, immediately following Great Vespers. Great Vespers begins at 5:30pm.

On Sunday, I announced that Jake Hallberg would be presenting the speech that won first place at the Oratorical Festival held during the Parish Life Conference. Due to a scheduling change, Jake will instead participate in our Family Ed Night next month.

Tomorrow evening, I will be teaching and leading our discussion.

As I meet with parishioners, catechumens, and inquirers, it has become clear that there is considerable interest in the relationship between Orthodox Christianity and Protestantism. Our conversation will explore this topic broadly. We will discuss some common Protestant critiques of Orthodoxy, consider how Orthodox Christians might respond to those concerns, and reflect on several of the convictions and practices that distinguish the Orthodox faith.

As always, dinner and childcare will be provided. In keeping with the Apostles' Fast, we will enjoy a delicious fish dinner together before our discussion.
