Hello,
I'm tendering for a large-ish garden maintenance job and wondering if anyone would be interested to join in. The deadline is approaching fast so prompt reactions will be appreciated - ideally by tomorrow (Wed) evening so we can talk things through over Thursday and submit the tender documents on Friday. Please send me your phone number to speed things up.
The job location is in central Edinburgh. Parking is available on site.
Maintenance will be carried out along permaculture lines as far as possible (composting on site, deep mulches, perennial planting schemes, low-tech where possible) but still needs to include regular lawn mowing (and strimming in awkward areas) plus occasional hedge trims, and chipping of prunings.
What I am looking for in a partner for this job:
- A vehicle to bring equipment to site and somewhere to store the equipment safely between jobs;
- Competence with tool use and maintenance (including power tools) and DIY skills;
- Experience and competence in permaculture and horticulture, including lawn, shrub, and perennial plant maintenance;
- Willingness to perform the full range of tasks in the job;
- And - last but not least - reliability, friendliness, and contactability.
What you can expect, subject to our bid being accepted:
- A fair share of the income from this job;
- Steady work, up to 2 full days a month between April and October (less between November to March) for 2 years - less is also possible if desired;
- Training and supervision on the job - if required - and growing competence and experience;
- A chance to promote more earth-friendly gardening practices;
- Potentially further jobs through this partnership.
Please feel free to forward this to your friends who might be interested.
Thank you!
Nenya
