I put all of our money in a spread sheet so hopefully will be easier to see and work out, feels like a lot of it crosses over...
I'm working (cleaning) all this week in the evenings so I'm happy to work around whenever!
I'll hopefully pop down to the allotment tomorrow

Ht6t6... aTatAtatT..   Please fill in the Doodle

Yeah, ok we should meet soon. and we need to submit an event for fresher's week by the 8th of march if we want to advertize it..

As cornelia said we agreed to buy tools next wednesday and I think we should do it then as time passes fast and we will become busier with the time to come.  I found this website : http://www.supaprice.co.uk/p/result.jsp?ga=uk9&q=second+hand+garden+tools   maybe we can order it there?

I think it could be quite good if we order them online and we get them sent to the greenhouse so that we might overcome the transport logistic problems..  What do people think?   if we want them secnd hand we can even buy them from e-bay ..

For the AGM, I think we should do it sooner than thursday (as friday we have to submit the fresher's week event and might be difficult doing it the day after).  Maybe Monday or Tuesday?  Ps. is anybody coming down to the allotment this sunday?

Francesco

Aye AGM sounds like a gooood idea :-)
Im free next Thursday if that suits?
Im guessing we fourth years are going to pass on responsibility to those who would like it? We should definitely advertise it as much as possible if that is the case.

Im suuuure we can find tools second hand. I will reflect upon that.

love Kasia x

When are people free for an AGM?
We could also aim to have a set list of things to buy (with links to buying sites/shops)

Also nobody got back to me about tool pick up so still no tools?  Anyone have any ideas of where to source some which isn't from a shiny shop?

Ah, def worth talking about!
I guess we need to have our AGM soon anyway, so we could just make a decision on it then perhaps?
would it be good to do a doodle for it?

Hello lovely societies,
I'm e-mailing you in regards to whether you do or don't charge membership fees. As you hopefully know re-registration will take place on the 31st of March and one of the prerequisites this year is that you charge a membership fee. We understand that in some cases societies are very opposed to the idea, while others just haven't considered it.
That's why we have added two exceptions to the rule. You are required to charge a membership fee in order to re-register unless you have both

 a) a clear and well reasoned justification and
 b) some sort of sustainability plan.

By this we mean, have you considered what the next years committee will use to pay for any expense incurred early in the semester, particularly for Freshers week? For example WaterAid society leave 100 pound in their bank account at the end of each year.

These two factors should also be included in your constitution, speak to Lauchlan Hall at societycon...@gmail.com if you need help with that, or I'll give you advice where I can.

I will be happy to explain things further and help you with the process if you want to either drop me an e-mail or meet up. I am in the connect office between 2 and 5 every Wednesday afternoon.

Unless I hear from you, you're application to re-register will not be accepted (and nobody wants that!).

Jennie
