Failover Cluster in windows 2008

Hi all,

I am looking to configure a failover cluster in windows 2008 but I am
facing problem
while I am looking to add second node to cluster,it say RPC server
unavilable and
my second node is also unable to be get resolve by DNS sever though it
has been
added to domain and has the A recrod also in dns it say request time
out while I
check resolution from nslookup.

plz let me know what could be the resolution for this.

Hi Tarun,
if the server returns nslookup as timed out then surely the issue is with the DNS.
although you added the server node to domain, but are there networking issues now. ie can server ping domain controller.
from the node just telnet doamin controller name port 135
if you are not able to connect, you know what is the problem
 
check if the dns entry in the node is pointing to correct dns server.

Hi Tarun,
 
It can be the problem of IPV6 also.
Just check in second node IP properties for DNS server IP address....
 
Some times it ask for Name resolution from IPV6 address......
use IPCONFIG /all on node 2......
