Would like ro contact Keith Reynolds about my battery crisis mystery. I use Trojans per his suggestions and it has worked well for two years. Then this past Summer while on the hard and virtually no load, maintenance mode the fuses blew. Will appreciate help making contact with Keith.

I’m not sure of your setup, so this may be a naive question, but were you on shore power or did you have solar panels/wind generator running? Depending on where the fuse(s) are, sometimes they1 can blow because of the power coming in, rather than the power going out.

Thanks Jim. No other power generation source is connected other than the boatyard shore power for the ProNautic smart battery charger. The set up worked fine through the 2018 hurricane season to Augout 2019. Supposedly the ProNautic controller would prevent a power surge from the shorepower. I'm trying to get a referral to a local marine electrical service to assess the status. Where is your home port?

The boatyard is aware of my problem but has not mentioned a lightning strike event in the yard. Working on getting someone qualified in marine electrical to do an assessment. My SV is in Florida on Charlotte Harbor but I’m still stuck in Cleveland area until early Feb.
