Elow!

I just heard from many that they got placed in TCS. Congratulations! I
remember the feeling. :)

However, this is not the end of the road. Neither for the ones who got
placed nor for the ones who did not. Let me reiterate over the message
that I've been trying to convey:

Good skill can always find good opportunities. This is true at the
moment in the IT industry.

There are questions like, "Where do I find these opportunities?", "How
can I know which one is better?", "How do I get good skill?", etc that
you will need answers to. Well, there is no one answer to any of these
questions. All I can say is, talking to more people around you will
give you more exposure to these things.

This includes all of us. Most of my batch mates who are working in
different places now are on this mailing list. I don't know any of
them who wouldn't be willing to help you out to advice and help you
find answers. :)

Just one thing though. If you're approaching someone with the "give me
a job, refer me" attitude, then you're starting off on the wrong foot.

Having said that, unless you use the "chat applications" and
"Internet" to *ask* useful questions and find answers, you'll be left
out.

Many of you asked me about job locations, about TCS and about other
companies. Pose these questions to more than a few and get a broader
view than one person's skewed view. This mailing list can itself be a
good place to start I guess.

There is no such thing as an "Evil" company when it comes to you
working there. It very much depends on your circumstances and more
importantly, the peers that you get to work with. If they are awesome,
your life will be awesome.

Just one thing. If your circumstances don't force you to have some
job, then don't get pampered and settle for less. Explore. :)

Stay excellent y'all!
