Hi all,

I hope all the children had a fantastic Easter break and have settled back into school.

I attach a copy of the programme for this term so you all know what us going on at each session.

As it's the start of a new term fees are due too.

Hello all,

There are some leader issues on Tuesday evening so we are therefore proposing to hold beavers at the earlier time of 5:30pm - 6:30pm at Mohope Youth Hostel for biscuit making.

Unfortunately I am not able to make beavers this week and Pauline is available but only at the earlier time as she also has unforeseen commitments later.

We hope this is ok for everyone, we didn't want to cancel.

The youth hostel is really easy to find and the kitchen there is huge so it's a great venue to make biscuits.

Tomorrow evening at Beavers we will be doing trails in the park in teams.
 
If the weather is not good please wear suitable footwear and clothing.  Also don't forget the midge repellent!!
 
Polite reminder about fees.  If you have not paid yet please do so tomorrow evening.
 
See you all at the Village Hall at the usual time of 6pm.

Hello all,
 
Tomorrow evening at Beavers we will be discussing what healthy things should go in a lunch box for a day trip out and also what things should go in your rucksack for a day out in the woods, for instance.  This is part of the Outdoor Challenge Badge they will be gaining at the end of the term, so they must comply.
 
Could all beavers therefore pack a healthy picnic lunch to bring in to show us (they could maybe eat the sandwiches for supper when they get home and the rest could go back in the fridge/store cupboard), and also pack a rucksack with essentials for a day out in the woods.
 
We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow evening at the usual time of 6pm at Allendale Village Hall.

Another quick polite reminder that some fees are still outstanding and must be paid tonight.  Fees are supposed to be paid at the start of every term and we are now well on the way towards the end of term!
 
Failure to pay outstanding fees will result in your child no longer being able to attend future beaver sessions.

Hi all

We need to hold a meeting for all leaders, parents and friends to decide how each section Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers will run in September with a reduced number of leaders. They need help from parents and friends. They need number of people to help with some small jobs i.e.  register of children, collecting subs, help with programme planning, organising camps/trips, and help on the night.

If we cannot get this help we will lose leaders and some sections will not run.

 

If we can meet on Wednesday 16th 7.30pm in a room in the Golden Lion.

If you can email me to say you can make it so we can gage numbers.

Hi all,
 
It is the last Beavers session tomorrow evening before we break for the summer.
 
We will be doing the Communicator Activity Badge.  Make sure the children all know their home phone numbers as that is part of the requirement for this badge.  They may also like to practice making a phone call so they know how to do that too.
