I agree that we need a meeting involving all parents as well. I’m happy to continue at the level I’m doing now but cannot take on any more. We’re getting by but only just and as Trudie says it would be such a shame if we folded now with all the children we have attending and on the waiting list.

Thanks Pauline, Kate and Trudie for confirming the commitment. It seems imperative to have meeting to decide on who does what and what people are able to do taking in other commitments. It should be possible to spread the load so it's not too onerous on any one person, we need enough people to carry out a clear list of jobs some I have listed below this applies to all sections but some jobs can be across sections like membership sec. and some jobs should be shared
· Leaders and helpers on Beaver, Cub Scout and Explorer night.
· Programme planning team
· Membership secretary
· Activity supervisors.
· Activity planners
· Treasury (already excellently carried out by Steve Agar)
· Chairperson
· Camp & overnight stopovers planners
· Camp & overnight stopovers helpers
Other than leaders all the above jobs just require a CRB check ( at no cost to yourself or the group)
All these jobs need to be carried out for the group to continue and some people carry out too many and leave.
So what I am saying if you or any one you know, from 18yrs and the grave, that can help in any way, whether it be once week, once a fortnight, once a month or once a year please let a leader know, you may even enjoy it. And leaders please ask for help.
