DC Statehood Day -May 1, 20223

The DC Council has issued a Resolution declaring May 1, 2023 DC Statehood Day. A series of events are programed for that day. We will start with a DC Statehood Day Press Conference at the National Press Club at 11am and conclude with a DC Statehood documentary film. Come out and wear red and white to show your support. We will have the official DC Statehood Day frame for photo opportunities.

The film-documentary, The Last Battlefront, will show at the Shaw (Watha T. Daniel) Neighborhood Library, 1630 7th St NW, DC 20001 (see flyer) at 6:0pm, with a brief discussion with the film director and others preceding the film.
We look forward to seeing many of you celebrating this important day (May 1) that we hope becomes an annual tradition, until we become the State of Washington, Douglass Commonwealth (DC). Please come out and celebrate DC Statehood Day.
