[OT] Updates on OSI Days 2010 - Open Source Conference, Chennai, Sept 19-21, 2010

Hello

Just a friendly update about OSI Days 2010. Speakers from more than 10 countries are joining us for more than 50 sessions and 12 workshops/trainings over the three day conference. There is emphasis on PHP, Drupal, Databases, Mobile, and Government Communities at the conference.  The rich content at the conference will be useful for building technical skills and leveraging Open Source for strategic advantage.

For Mobile Developers:
  • A full day dedicated to Mobile Developers Tracks
  • 4 Hrs workshop on Android App Development by Dibya Prakash, a popular name in Android and ROR world
  • 4 Hrs workshop on iphone/ ipad App development by Reetu Raj of techahead.com exploring development of iPhone apps using open source tools
For Database Community:

  • Siddhartha Agarwal (VP, Americas Field Operations, Zend) has also confirmed his participation at OSI Days 2010
  • A BrainJam (A high energy 2 hour event to tap into the collective knowledge of the audience) hosted by Kiruba Shankar, specifically focussed for SMEs
The conference schedule looks promising and has shaped up really well. I would encourage you all to participate in the conference and make it a success. Seems like my T1 papers overlap with OSI and end just about 12+ hours from pycon :D
