What ya been doing lately ? I was about to fall in love
again and instead I found another girl who wants to be my friend .
I tell ya its the same old story all over again . The girl finds
out I'm a great guy . Tells me she's interested in a relationship
developing and the next thing I know . I find out she wants to be
my friend again . Crystal , I've got so many girlfriends I lost
count years ago . So I tell her look . How many girlfriends am I
supposed to have anyway . Ten ,twenty , fifty , one hundred .
Pick a number and I'll reel off their names . All collected
over more than forty years .
What was this terrible crime I committed ? I signed a message
to her ........Love etc.
That's all . She says maybe I shouldn't use that word just
yet . We need to let our friendship grow .
Crystal , I've got these girlfriends galore , I've got this girl
I've loved all my life , I'm 57 years old as of Easter Sunday , I've
resolved to not spend one more minute of my life collecting one more
girlfriend . I'm only looking for one thing now . I'm looking
for a woman between the ages of 35 and 65 or so who is willing
to committ to loving me the way I'm committed to loving her .
I'm tired of giving my love for free . From now on , I'm going to
expect love in return . And if that's asking too damn much of
a woman , then I'll just go to my grave loving the one who
rejected me at age 11 . That's a hell-of-a-lot better way to die .
