酷玩樂團的《降落傘》和《靜寂的世界》這兩張專輯根據MTV的報導資料，發行量超過1600萬張。
酷玩樂團的風格以搖滾詩著稱，音樂經常有著單純旋律而且歌詞動人，充滿情感，許多樂曲都富有一些哲理，亦有人稱其為超現實感的搖滾風格，2001年此樂團獲得了兩座全英音樂獎，2002年並獲得美國葛萊美獎的另類音樂獎。
成立初期(1996年9月到1999年10月)

Panda﹚獨立音樂製作公司的負責人西蒙·威廉斯Simon
Williams簽約。
1999年5月酷玩樂團發行了單曲《兄弟姐妹》（Brothers &
Sisters）。接著與大型唱片公司Parlophone簽約，發行了《藍月》（Blue
Moon）迷你EP專輯，2000年所發行的兩首單曲《顫抖》（Shiver）、《黃色》（Yellow）皆進入英國單曲排行榜前40名。

這首歌讓我想起93'~94'我在北京的那段日子，我的窩和工作的地方距離在;
約20分鐘的走步行程，搭車反而成為煩人的事，於是我買了一輛自行車。騎自行車逛大街小巷;
踏青，那是童年時代的往事，但卻在北京找回那份純真!
2004年在英國大放異彩，來至蘇聯的喬治亞，年僅20出頭的
Katie
Melua，清晰憂鬱的嗓音，令人為之一亮，有人說她的音樂屬於爵士樂，也有人說她是位民謠歌手，我們且不去探討她的音樂風，但有件事是可以確定的，在現今黑人音樂充斥的市場上，Katie
Melua 的出現，的確有如嚴冬裡的一道陽光。
Nine Million Bicycles 這首歌是收錄在 Katie Melua 2005年的
Piece By Piece 專輯中，這張專輯中的另一首歌 Just Like
Heaven 則是翻唱 The Cure
在1987年的作品，同時也是同名電影Just Like
Heaven【出竅情人】的主題曲。
