Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to inform you that the Bonn meeting report is now available in all languages on the IPBES website at www.ipbes.net/plenary/ipbes-1

We wish to draw your attention in particular to the following deadlines that will facilitate the work of the IPBES Multidisciplinary Expert Panel (MEP) and Bureau during the intersessional period:

  • 28 February 2013 for submission of review comments on the conceptual framework, scoping process and possible future regional composition of the MEP.
  • 28 March 2013 for the nomination by members, observers and other stakeholders of participants to the MEP convened expert workshops on knowledge systems (likely to take place in early/mid June) and the conceptual framework (likely to take place in mid-August). Additional guidance will shortly be made available on the website for the submission of these nominations.
  • 28 March 2013 for any further comments to be received on IPBES/1/INF/5, on elements to consider in recognizing indigenous and local knowledge.
  • 5 May 2013 for the submission of requests from members, and inputs and suggestions from other stakeholders to inform the development of the initial work programme.
