> My dearest brothers and sisters in ARPC,
>
> Some of you have already heard and came to share our grief at my mum's demise this morning.
> She passed away very peacefully. We could not ask for more. God is exceedingly gracious.
>
> She woke about 6.30 am and was walking to the loo when she felt weak and slumped into my maid's arms.
> Siti, our maid, called for help and we all awoke to help my Mum to the loo. She had also wet herself.
>
> We changed her and helped to the sofa. There, Han Shen propped her up whilst I rubbed & massaged her back until she fell asleep.
> So, I sat with her while reading and editing the script pastor Adrin & Lucky wrote for our Easter skit.
> There on the sofa, Ah Mah slipped away peacefully into glory, without me realising ...
> until Siti walked past and said Ah Mah looked pale. Then we checked for breath, heartbeat and pulse.
> We then called a(nother) ARPC doctor as our faithful family doctor, Dr Esther Tan, is away in UK.
>
> Jeff helped with police report, Michael with funeral arrangements whilst Chor Yin and Hanniel have sprung into loving action since.
> Thank you so much my brothers. We are happy to use a casket place for the wake services but Michael suggested ARPC.
> I am fine either way and don't want to be presumptous, simply because I am senior pastor!
> The only other funeral wake we have had here was for Eileen Chin, 10 years back.
> So, I have asked Session for "official" permission to go ahead with the wake services in ARPC. Hope it's okay.
>
> The funeral is set for Sat, Apr 7 at 10.30 am Mandai Hall 3.
> We will let you know more of the wake services days ... soon.
>
> With much gratitude,
> Chris, Mona and family.
