SUNDAY, DECEMBER 9th:

St. Nicholas Visit at the 10:30 service.

In honor of St. Nicholas, parishioners are invited to make a donation to the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, which maintains hope—and schools–for Arab Christian children living in a divided country. Please be generous and write your checks to All Saints’ Episcopal Church with “St. Nicholas” in the memo. Or, you can go to www.afedj.org  and donate online. Another way to help those in need is to bring an unwrapped toy to donate to El Buen Samaritano so families can have gifts for their children. You may bring the gifts Dec. 9th or 16th and  put them in the cart at the back of the church. If you would like     more information call Madre Cynthia at 512.476.3589, ext 110.

Lighthouse Holiday Edition Stocking Stuffers Service Project  

Every Advent, our children and youth come together to take part in a special project that focuses on the spirit of giving and service to others. The kids are absolutely thrilled to have a meaningful part in making someone’s holiday brighter by creating and stuffing stockings that are handed out to our adult Loaves & Fishes recipients during the month of December. Our 3rd-5th Graders cut, sew, and decorate red felt stockings.  They are so excited to learn to use a sewing machine to showcase their artistic talents.  We request donations from the parish community to help fill the stockings, and encourage the kids to bring in small items as well.  Once the stockings are made and the donations are received, the Lighthouse community comes together to stuff our stockings and enjoy the festive cheer of the season as we we work to help others.  It’s so wonderful to see what we can do together! You can support our project by bringing donations to help fill our stockings by donating small toiletry items, combs, gloves, scarves, peppermint candy, anything useful that will fit into a 6” X 18” stocking. Please do not wrap the items. Place donations in the box in the office labeled “Stocking Stuffers”, or give to one of our Sunday School teachers.  We need to have all donations by Saturday, Dec. 8th.

EYC - EPISCOPAL YOUTH COMMUNITY (6th-12th grades): Christmas Lights Field Trip - Dec. 16th from 5:30 to 8:30 pm  Join us for a trip to Mary and Karly’s house to see their amazing 

lights and enjoy hot apple cider and cocoa. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate Advent and welcome the Christmas season.

From the All Saints’ Austin Interfaith Core Team:

Joining our efforts with those of other institutions belonging to Austin Interfaith, we made a considerable impact on recent 2018 elections. We succeeded in getting almost all the viable candidates to support our agenda of issues and got commitments from some 5000 voters to support these candidates. Now, as the electoral process winds down, we are meeting with winning candidates to plan strategies for achieving our goals.
