*EL BUEN HANDS FOR HOPE: *
Can our parish feed at least 100 families this Thanksgiving? To do that, we
need to raise $2,000. Your participation is needed to reach that goal by
supporting the annual El Buen Samaritano Episcopal Mission Hands for Hope
Thanksgiving meal drive, with a total goal to feed 1,000 families! On
November 17th, more than 1,000 families will receive a Thanksgiving dinner
complete with turkey, a pie, trimmings and fresh vegetables. A $20 donation
provides a Thanksgiving care package to one family in need. This year, the
Moody Foundation will match all gifts to Hands for Hope 2:1—so your $20
donation turns into $60 for the emergency food pantry that serves families
all year long. You can look for the Hands for Hope posters, stop by the

From the Austin Interfaith Core Team
We met our goal of getting 300 names signed-up in support of the Austin Interfaith agenda of issues. Thanks to those of you who participated.
An Accountability Session was held last Sunday, 250 in attendance at University United Methodist Church, with candidates for local city council and mayor posts, one state legislative race (District 47), and two congressional races (Districts 21 and 25). With a couple of exceptions on one small point, all present agreed entirely with the Austin Interfaith agenda.
Please vote (if you haven't already). Early voting ends Friday, November 2. Election Day is Tuesday, November 6.
If you have questions about the positions of specific candidates, contact any member of the core team:
