TUESDAY LENTEN SERIES:
The Festive Meal: Symposium & Communion
Tuesdays, March 12th– April 9th
We’re excited to re-enact the basic form of the first century festive meal to celebrate holy communion in the context of a meal and symposium on Tuesday evenings, 6:30–8:00pm, during the season of Lent.
We’ll meet in Kinsolving Hall around tables, we’ll light candles, eat soup, drink wine or cider, read from scripture, talk and discuss meaningful topics, and celebrate our communion.
Please make plans to join us for these joyful and unique meals. This series will give all participants a deeper feeling and understanding for how our Christian practice
of holy Eucharist was shaped by the Greco-Roman festive meal and how it transformed table fellowship forever. Donations accepted for the meal.
