WAYS TO HELP REFUGEE FAMILIES IN AUSTIN:
All Saints’ is currently sponsoring a family of 4 from Afghanistan who arrived in Austin mid-August. Their small apartment is pretty full, but if you would like to help other refugees in Austin, Refugee Services of Texas accepts donations of lightly used and clean children's toys and books, used or new TVs/ laptops/ tablets, adult or children's bikes, diapers and wipes, baby items like strollers, car seats, etc., HEB gift cards, bus passes, NEW household items (towels, bedding, dishes, pans) at Refugee Services of Texas, 500 E. St. Johns Ave #1.280, Austin, TX 78752, from Monday-Thursday 8:30 am-4:30 pm. If you have used clothing donations, please place them in the green End Trafficking Now bin in the very back out of the RST parking lot. This benefits our Survivors of Trafficking Empowerment Program. For any used household items or furniture donations, please donate to Resurrection Thrift Shopat 2200 Justin Ln, Austin, TX 78757. Clients of RST receive a free voucher for Resurrection Thrift and are able to pick out items from the store for their homes.
