I am a veteran of staying awake, and it would be a challenge to
describe my ridiculous sleeping habits over the past seven years. (I
used to sleep standing up, with my eyes open) That said, I have found
that my body is no longer willing to continue beyond the three day
mark without rest. Three seems to be the new limit; before I would
only start feeling normal at day three. Has anyone else has had
anything like this happen to them? Also I was wondering if anyone had
any thoughts on the effects of chronic long term sleep abuse? If I
sleep for more than 6 hours I get severe orthostatic hypotension for
half a day.

Man, those are some pretty wacked - out sleeping habits. Maybe you
should see a doctor. Re: chronic sleep abuse: I reckon anything that
doesn't feel right can't be too healthy (not always and definitely
doesn't work in reverse).
