REMINDER: Book Club Tonight

Remember that we've rescheduled this month's book club meeting to tonight (Tuesday), February 25, 2025 at 7 PM due to the extreme cold last Thursday. As usual, we'll meet at the Mission Road Congregation of the Community of Christ (7842 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS). Our book for discussion is:

The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store by James McBride (Joyce Meredith will moderate).

We'll also settle on the book for March from those nominated and have a discussion about future meeting dates and times.

• Thursday, April 17, 2025, The Briar Club by Kate Quinn (Caryn Brown-Millard will moderate), 412 pages.
• Thursday, May 15, 2025, Looking for Alaska by John Green (April Ballantyne will moderate), 221 pages.
• Thursday, June 19, 2025, The Island of Sea Women by Lisa See (Jane Stock will moderate), 384 pages.
• Thursday, July 17, 2025, Beloved by Toni Morrison (Jane Landrum will moderate), 288 pages.
• Thursday, August 21, 2025, Somewhere Beyond the Sea by TJ Klune (moderator needed), 416 pages.

Books under consideration for March (those that received email votes) include:

• Kingdom Quarterback: Patrick Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs, and How a Once Swingin' Cow Town Chased the Ultimate Comeback by Mark Dent, and Rustin Dodd   (David Lurie has volunteered to lead the discussion)
• "I Who Never Known Men" by Jacqueline Harpman (April Ballantyne has volunteered to lead the discussion)
• The Lost Bookshop by Evie Woods (no volunteer yet).
