Greetings from Enactus SSCBS!
At Enactus, Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (University of Delhi), we are involved in three social outreach programs, Sanitation Solutions, Project Akshar and Gramoddhar.
Project Akshar, envisions creating extremely affordable, environment–friendly notebooks, by recycling and reusing paper that is discarded as waste by corporate houses and other organisations.
Last year, to commemorate the second anniversary of this project, we hosted an event called Akshar Diwas.
To carry forward the legacy of Akshar Diwas, this year, on 30th March 2014, a door-to-door paper collection drive will be held in RWAs across Delhi/NCR.
We aim to break our own record this year, recognised by the Limca Book of Records for collecting the largest amount of waste paper (15.67 tonnes) in 12 hours in this country.
