The Bavarian brand BMW will celebrate its centenary in 2020. As part of the celebrations on the occasion of the round date, the company from Munich plans to hold a presentation of a special modification of the "charged" M4 Coupe coupe. High-ranking sources in the BMW management anonymously told Motoring about the development of the track version of the two-door model M4 Coupe. The Swedish cars with the "GTS" badge will have a curb weight of not more than 1,400 kg - engineers intend to reduce the model weight due to the wide use of carbon and aluminum in the body structure. The latter will be used to manufacture, in particular, the doors of the M4 Coupe GTS coupe. In addition, the interior of the car will be freed from unnecessary equipment and the rear sofa and equipped with new ultralight sports seats, "buckets". BMW M4 Coupe GTS will be equipped with a 3.0-liter turbocharged “six”, whose characteristics the journalists have not yet been able to find out. The standard version of the model will go on the market with a 6-cylinder unit with a capacity of 430 hp. and a maximum torque of 500 Nm, paired with a manual transmission or robotic gearbox.
