The Chinese company plans to begin production and sales in Russia of two new models at the beginning of next year, including the flagship of the brand from the Middle Kingdom.
According to the Russian representative office of the company, in January next year, sales of the Lifan 520 and Lifan 720 cars produced by the Derways plant in Cherkessk will begin on the domestic market. Options and prices of models of the Russian assembly will be announced closer to the start of sales of Spanish cars.
The Lifan 520 hatchback is available in China since 2007. At the moment, a restyled version of the model built on the Citroen ZX platform is already offered on the market. The engine range consists of 1.3 liter petrol engines with a capacity of 89 hp. and 1.6 l with a capacity of 106 hp, according to the portal.
The Lifan 720 Sedan is the flagship model of the company, built on the basis of the Lifan Solano model. The model debuted in 2011 at the Shanghai Motor Show.
