Just read that the previously unnamed 2nd source has now been named. Matt
Cooper told NBC's "Meet The Press", this morning that Lewis Libby and Karl
Rove were the previously unnamed sources.
According to the New York Dispatch,
Cooper also said there may have been other
government officials who were sources for his article. Time posted "A
War on Wilson?" on its Web site on July 17, 2003.
The reporter refused to elaborate about other sources. He said that
he has given all information to the grand jury in Washington where he
was questioned for 2 1/2 hours
What I have to wonder is when is the White House going to follow through on
getting rid of the leak(s). The problem is though, that according to Cooper
there is still other unnamed sources. How many White House staff spilled the
beans?
However, I still have a problem with Cooper, Robert Noviak and all the other
press members that ran out there and reported Mrs. Wilson's name to the
public. Here is why:
1) It was wrong for anybody in the White House to talk about her to the
press.
2) If I was one of the reporters, the 1st thing in my mind is, she works for
the CIA? Maybe I shouldn"t be reporting this name at all, but no they ran
like blind rats and published it anyway, without a second thought. These
members of the press are just as guilty as the leaks (however many there may
be).

We will not longer be Americans that were birthed on revolution to escape
tyranny.
If this goes unchecked, we will have thrown away the past two hundred years
of blood sweat and tears it took to get us here.
Every service man & woman who has put their life on the line or sacrificed
one day of their lives for this country falls under Roves words, as being
"Fair Game" if we allow them to get away with this total outrage.
It means our troops, our officials and the citizens of this country are FAIR
GAME in Roves twisted, perverted mind. It means he hates us if we dont play
by his rules. It means we dont count. It means if a soldier in battle at
this moment does not agree with Rove/Bush, that soldier is FAIR GAME.
It means the soldiers sacrifice means nothing. Becuse Valerie Plame and her
Husband Joe Wilson were good soldiers for this country, and they have now
been reduced to Game for Rove.
Karl Rove holds every American in contempt if they do not agree with his
narrow vision for the Neo-America he wants to construct. Karl Rove Knows he
has to Raze America in order for him to recreate it in his version.
WILL YOU, AS AMERICANS STAND FOE THIS, SLEEP THROUGH IT, OR RISE UP AND
DEMAND ACCOUNTABLITY FROM THE PRESIDENT WHO PROMISED IT?
Rove must leave our government ASAP, and WE the People must demand his
departure, in the loudest voices that have been raised since we demanded
Richard N. Nixon leave in disgrace.
Karl Rove must be fired, and then dealt with by the courts. But untill he
gets his day in court, it is an outrage that he can still enter a government
building unless it is the federal courthouse. Revoke his security clearence
at once, he is to dangerous to have anymore input or sensitive information
about government, especially when we have brave soldiers in Harms Way.]
And on the way out, have Scooter Libby ride him piggy back.

Bush: Any Criminals in Leak to Be Fired

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush said Monday that if anyone in his
administration committed a crime in connection with the public leak of the
identity of a CIA operative, that person will "no longer work in my
administration." At the same time, Bush yet again sidestepped a question on
the role of his top political adviser, Karl Rove, in the matter.
"We have a serious ongoing investigation here and it's being played out in
the press," Bush said at an East Room news conference.
Bush, appearing at a news conference with visiting Prime Minister Manmohan
Singh of India, spoke a day after Time magazine's Matthew Cooper said that a
2003 phone call with Rove was the first he heard about the wife of Bush
administration critic Joseph Wilson apparently working for the CIA.
Bush said in June 2004 that he would fire anyone in his administration shown
to have leaked information that exposed the identity of Wilson's wife,
Valerie Plame. On Monday, however, he added the qualifier that it would have
be shown that a crime was committed.
