Every time I play a game app on my S10 phone, a notification appears in the notification area from Game Booster. If I press on it, there's no option to disable it. If I choose 'notification settings' I'm told that it was Game Booster that showed the notification but any attempt to disable it from showing notifications is not allowed. The enable/disable slider/button is deactivated. Why am I not allowed to stop this thing (whatever it is) from spamming me with notifications that I'm not interested in? That's the behaviour of malware rather than something useful.
I understand that Samsung think they want to help us with the software they pre-install, but everything should be able to be turned off if the user wants. Microsoft was forced to do it on Windows. Apple are being pressured. Do we need to start a movement to get the EU to ban Samsung from forcing us to use things we don't want to also?
@Members_bfF62Fw: Try heading to Settings > Apps > Tap the 3 lines to the right of 'Your Apps' > Show System Apps > Game Booster > Scroll down > Appear On Top > Allow Permission, and toggle this on. Let me know if this helps.
Game launcher has been disabled for months. It doesn't affect game booster. Maybe technically it disables game booster from actively doing anything, but it certainly doesn't disable the booster notifications.
A temporary fix would be to force close the Game Booster app, if the app isn't running it cannot send notifications. Your only other option would be to disable the Game Booster app via ADB as it cannot be disabled from the phone itself.
If you're interested in the ADB route, I already explained it in this topic here. Just replace the package name mentioned in my post with com.samsung.android.game.gametools.
Thanks Andrew, that solved it for me. I can't believe I've let it bug me for the last year without trying harder. A few times I've googled it and been disappointed with the results. Hopefully this one rises up the google rankings as it is the answer. It's also somewhere I'd never have 'just found' by poking around. I'll be using that 3-lines-to-the-right-of-'Your Apps' more often now I'm sure
Andrew, would you please translate these instructions to a Galaxy S21 5G with Android 11? I've tried everything I can think of, and if the switch isn't greyed out, the other settings I've tried changing have not worked.
ALLOWING PERMISSION FOR GAME BOOSTER TO SHOW ON TOP DOES NOT PREVENT IT FROM TURNING ITSELF BACK ON AFTER YOU HAVE TURNED IT OFF - THEREBY PREVENTING YOU FROM LOGGING INTO GAMES. WRONG ANSWER! WE WANT TO DISABLE GAME BOOSTER!
When I open a game app on my S10, Game Booster's notification area appears. When I press on it, I cannot disable it. Game Booster displays a notification, and I cannot disable it by choosing 'notification settings'. There is no slider or button for enabling or disabling. Do I have to keep receiving notifications from this thing (whatever it is) that I am not interested in? That's what malware does instead of something useful.
The only thing I want is for it to stop.
There is no difference between disabling or enabling the 'game launcher', according to Google. There is a difference between the two, in my opinion.
Although Samsung wants to help us with the software they pre-install, everything should be able to be turned off if the user so chooses. It had to be done on Windows by Microsoft. Apple is under pressure. Is it necessary to start a movement to get the EU to ban Samsung from forcing us to use things we do not want?
A Samsung employee is unlikely to comment on this issue.
@viller23 hello, try this: access Settings / Applications and look for the Gamebooster app, in the options, in the three points above -right, perform Uninstall updates. Deactivate automatic updates, so that it does not update. In this way the app will remain deactivated. Greetings.
@viller23 @cavellix: If you open the Game Launcher app > Tap the 3 lines in the bottom right > Game Booster > Block during game > Notifications, and toggle this on, this should prevent Game Booster from sending notifications while you're in a game. Let me know if this helps.
i read some post that state to use storage booster if user want to move application to sd card. but i dont see any storage booster in my m20. my internal is almost full so i want to move some app to sd
At first when we had not uploaded our app on samsung store, our application was working fine on samsung android devices. When application was uploaded and published on store with gaming category, application started launching as game with game booster and Screen UI became distorted (Screenshots attached). If I install the same application with different package name it works fine and also game booster is not there. I am sure it is something regarding game booster with react native applications.
The original crowd-funded NX-L adapter which raised over 8000 euros in the first campaign, is a one-of-a-kind custom made speed booster adapter from Italy, giving the full frame look to Canon lenses on the Samsung NX1.
With the electronically controlled EF lenses I tend to use them wide open, especially the Sigma 50mm F1.4 ART and Canon 50mm F1.2L for the maximum shallow DOF look the NX1 can give you short of going with a Leica and Noctilux.
Samsung signal boosters, also known as repeaters, amplifiers, or extenders (not to be confused with network extenders), are the #1 recommended way to improve cell reception across any Samsung using any carrier. That includes the Samsung Galaxy S series, Galaxy Z Fold series, Galaxy Z Flip series, Galaxy A series, and all other Samsung phones released after 2012.
All Samsung signal boosters need is a power source and existing signal to work. No monthly fees or WiFi is needed. Within minutes you can flip your home, office, or vehicle from a dead zone to a reliable multi-carrier networking hub.
Our customer's signal strength significantly improved from -119 dBm to -75 dBm. Typically, cell phone signal strength ranges from -50 dBm (perfect signal) to -120 dBm (no signal). The closer you are to -50 dBm, the more reliable your connection. With the best cell signal booster, our customer is now receiving almost perfect signal. You could too!
Both AT&T Cell Booster and Verizon LTE Network Extender are carrier specific, though. They will not provide better talk, text, and data for Samsung's connected to other carriers. In addition, since they need internet to work, users may experience slower speeds. Carriers may charge a one-time fee plus monthly fees for a femtocell.
The first step is to choose between a Samsung Cell Phone Signal Booster and a Samsung Femtocell (aka Network Extender). Most people go for the Samsung cell phone booster. It provides much more consistent coverage, works with multiple carriers, and costs less in the long run.
I am using a Samsung SM-G780G S20FE(snapdragon -- 6gbram) device. İn my 'One' month gaming experience, I found some tweaks. I experienced crashes especially at Frankfurt airport approach. And ı found Samsung game booster set the performance mode , but it didn't have much effect on me. To explain it this way, while the performance mode only gain between 3-5 fps, I noticed that there were drops in quality and a ''pastel graphics''. As a result of my research, I realized that there is an application called Game Plugins and it is available in the galaxy store. It is a side addon of Game Booster application. The settings are maximum fps, balanced and custom. I choose custom and 2 more settings appear. One of them is quality and the other is fps, I set them both to maximum. My in-game settings are ultra, 100%, limit frame and ''opengl''. My cloud setting is at half cumulus. I'm experiencing crashes when I run it to full !! There is also a priority mode in these settings. When you turn it on, it performs background RAM cleaning, but you cannot receive any calls or notifications. that is, as a notification. Notifications start coming when you exit the game. It's not like airplane mode. With these tweaks, I get 20-30 stable and best performance in terms of graphics. Believe me, I am a person who is obsessed with graphics. The graphics are very high level. You can see the photos I posted in the gallery section. I recommend people who use Samsung to try it. S20FE works wonders too. Moreover, it has 6GB of RAM. Thanks !
