Texas Parks and Wildlife has monitored the area over the past week and a half and has not found an alligator.
Houston Parks has appropriate signage in place reminding patrons to stay clear of the water, as is standard practice.
As a reminder, this is alligator mating season, and it's not uncommon for them to make their way into parks and waterways, particularly those connected to /or near bayous.
If you see an alligator or believe you've spotted one in the future:
Take a photo from a safe distance and note the date.
Report it to 311.
Forward the 311 service request number to dist...@houstontx.gov so our office can help track the concern and coordinate with the appropriate departments.
As always, please keep a safe distance from wildlife and never attempt to approach or feed an alligator.
