Hello,

Below are some grants that would be great for the community. Evolve Houston is offering a maximum $15,000 grant to address community mobility needs experienced by historically underserved neighborhoods in the Houston area. Highest priority is going to Complete Communities. This grant is to raise awareness on electric vehicles, address mobility needs, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and/or expand economic opportunities. If you could forward this to any of your contacts in the community would be greatly appreciated.

Sample Budget

This sample budget includes an awareness event, 2 electrical bikes, 2 carts, a charging station and, personnel costs.

Installing charging stations at your facility is a great community idea.

You may change this budget as you see fit for your needs.  For more details, see the guide.

Evolve Houston is a nonprofit organization focused on leading the emerging eMobility ecosystem within Houston by promoting electric vehicle adoption and education. Founded in 2019 through the City of Houston’s Climate Action Plan, Evolve is a non-profit coalition of sustainability-minded civic, business, and academic leaders who seek to accelerate clean transportation in Houston through electrification. Matching Grant Program

We are improving Houston neighborhoods by providing a dollar-for-dollar matching grant reimbursement between $500 to $5,000 to help fund beautification and improvement projects. This program is administered in partnership through the City of Houston Department of Neighborhoods and the City of Houston Council Member’s Offices.

Eligible organizations must meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants must be a neighborhood-based organization and/or civic club incorporated as a 501 (c) (3) or 501 (c) (4) non-profit organization through the State of Texas.
  • If the applying neighborhood-based organization is not 501 (c) (3) or 501 (c) (4), they must secure a 501 (c) (3) or 501 (c) (4) organization to partner with for this project.
  • Applicant organizations must represent a specific geographic area located in the Houston city limits.
  • Applicants must Identify how the organization will fund and support the project in the future.
  • *Political organizations and individuals are not eligible.*

The deadline to submit an application packet is Friday, November 4, 2022, by 5:00 p.m.
