Subject: Beware of FAKE Contractors

Unfortunately, all over Houston and Texas, suspects are pretending to be Contractors from Utility Companies. One of the story lines is they are asking you to step out of your residence so they can check gas appliances. As you step out, they go in. While inside they are stealing items from your residence. Be aware these suspects look the part, work trucks, uniforms, what appear to be ID badges, radios, etc.. Utility Companies should have no reason to come inside of your residence, everything they own, and need is outside of your residence. If you did not call for a Contractor, please do not let anyone inside your residence. If you are unsure, please call the utility company or your local Law Enforcement Agency.

Please share with your neighbors !

Thank you, Tim W
