Dear CCTag developers,
My name is Samuele Vaccari and I am a master’s student in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bologna. I have recently completed my master’s thesis on optical tracking and computer vision, carried out at the University of British Columbia.
In the background section of my thesis I describe different fiducial marker systems, and I would like to include one of the CCTag marker images shown on your documentation homepage (https://cctag.readthedocs.io/en/latest/),
as an illustrative example of the CCTag marker design (attached).
I understand that CCTag is released under the Mozilla Public License 2.0, but I wanted to ask explicitly if you are comfortable with my reusing this image in my thesis. I would of course provide proper attribution in the caption and in the bibliography. For
example, I am planning to use a caption along the lines of:
“CCTag marker examples with three crowns. Each marker is uniquely identified by the crown thickness, encoding a marker ID. Image from the CCTag documentation, used with permission (MPL 2.0) (Calvet, L. et al. (2016))”
If you have preferred wording for the caption or for citing CCTag, I would be happy to follow your recommendation.
Thank you very much for your time and for your work on CCTag.
Best regards,
Samuele Vaccari
