Hello !
I have a question.
I have a fuji Finepix Real 3d camera, which I love; it takes two 10 megapixel photos with a fixed lens separation. It creates mpo files, which I believe is a wrapper to hold a left and right jpg.
I have wondered if such a stereoscopic camera could provide any advantage to a stereophotogrammetry software, thinking that the software will always know the exact relative distance between each set (left-right) of photos.
Another advantage, although minor, is that with such a camera you get double the amount of photos for the same amount of clicks.
Last but not least I love my camera and it hurts to see it losing relevance by the day. If this stereoscopic camera gave any little advantage in 3d scanning, and software supported it, maybe be it could be a win win situation, because some of the many thousands of users having that model might get interested in a photogrammetry software supporting it, giving new possibilities to the camera.
Please let me know
Thanks
