cctag3 vs cctag4

Hi,

In several nodes (FeatureExtraction, FeatureMatching, StructureFromMotion) the Describer Types cctag3 and cctag4 can be selected.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between cctag3 and cctag4?

Hi John,

The CCTag markers can have 3 or 4 crowns.

The CCTag with 3 crowns looks like this:

With 3 crowns the number of IDs is limited to 30. With 4 crowns you can have more IDs but the identification is obviously less robust.

The CCTag 3 is well tested and very robust. The CCTag 4 is less tested.
