Hi everyone:

 

I’m writing to share the bittersweet news that Leah Simoncelli, AlphaLab Gear and Hardware Cup extraordinaire, is moving on from AlphaLab Gear. Leah’s last day will be Friday, March 26th.

 

The bitter part is obvious; I – we all! – will miss Leah as a colleague, a friend, and a strong supporter of every startup that came through AlphaLab Gear. Her body of work is huge, from leading the Hardware Cup, to running portions of the Gear program, to every single day seeing something that needs to be done, rolling up her sleeves, and just doing it.

 

The sweet part, however, is very sweet: Leah has taken a Digital and Community Engagement Manager position with Timesys here in Pittsburgh, where she will lend her prolific marketing and program management might to a great team of entrepreneurs and engineers. So, although we may no longer be a part of AlphaLab Gear, she’s not going that far and will still be a part of our regional tech community.

 

Please join me in wishing Leah congratulations on this terrific new opportunity. Condolence Edible Arrangements can be sent to me at my home address.

 

Leah, we’re going to miss you!

Miss you all already! Getting to work and spend time with you all has made this job a fun, rewarding, challenging one. I'm sad to close this chapter but ready for my next adventure. My new email will be leah.si...@timesys.com, so please do keep in touch. 

PS Do we have some embedded software engineers in this group? I would love to pick your brain(s).
